Jeffrey D. Cowan
Jeffrey
D. Cowan is the principal lawyer of COWAN & TAYLOR PROFESSIONAL
CORPORATION; a boutique law firm that operates in two locations
in Toronto, where Jeff has practiced since his call to the bar
in 1993.
His areas of practice focus upon corporate/commercial law with
an emphasis on small to medium sized enterprises, real estate
(commercial
and residential) and wills and estates planning. He holds two undergraduate
degrees, one in economics and one specializing in international
business as well as a law degree from the University of British
Columbia and
an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto. Jeff is currently pursuing
a Masters in Law Degree (part-time) at Osgoode Hall Law School,
specializing in business law. In a previous career, Mr. Cowan
was a stock trader
on the floor of the Montreal Stock Exchange.
Jeff
is the past Chair of Fashion Cares – Canada’s most
profitable AIDS fundraising event and has volunteered for many
years at the Metro Toronto YMCA as a spinning and fitness instructor.
He
speaks extensively on legal matters to seminars on legal issues
for small businesses, wills and estate planning and first-time
home buyers.
Mr. Cowan advises small to medium-sized corporate enterprises
from their basic startup to sophisticated corporate governance.

Paul C. Taylor
Paul
C. Taylor is an experienced and seasoned legal practitioner who
in his more distinguished years
has chosen the golf links of
Palm Springs to partially leave behind a thriving real estate and
litigation practice. Throughout his thirty-five year career, Paul
has engaged in numerous real estate developments as well as his day-to-day
real estate transactional practice. In previous careers, Mr. Taylor
was a seminarian and an educator. Although not currently involved
in the day-to-day operations of Cowan & Taylor, he provides invaluable
and consistent seasoned advice.
